An Intimate Black Balsam Knob Elopement

Every couple has a story, but goodness we cannot this sweet couple after hearing their story. Michael & Megan met randomly right after Megan moved to Savannah, Georgia and at the time Megan was in a relationship. That didn’t stop Michael from knowing she was his future wife and waiting patiently for her. A few years down the road, patience paid off and they went on their first date (coffee and a walk on the beach) and have been together ever since!

Fast forward to their elopement at Black Balsam Knob! With captivating vows and edgy details, they chose to elope in the Appalachian Mountains because as they put it: “We feel like our best selves when we're in nature. Some of our best moments together when we first started dating were exploring a mostly isolated Iceland, so an adventure elopement really spoke to us when the idea came up. The local night life of Asheville and the serenity of the mountains match our personalities perfectly. Also it is not too far from Savannah!”

With a pops of color, comfy shoes and wind whipped hair, Mike and Megan created another unique and intimate memory to add to their collection of amazing adventures. Through the tears and the laughs, we can’t help but notice those North Carolina Mountains rolling behind them through it all.
